I Stand Amazed

Choosing a favorite song is very difficult.  Just like choosing a favorite color, or a favorite food or even a favorite Bible verse.  Why do I have to only pick one?!?!?!?!?  (Yes, that is said with a frustrated cry!)

I love a all kinds of colors, too many Bible verses to put a number on it, songs and music-lets just go with the flow and sing!  And of course food...oh, I. Love. Food.

Choosing a favorite of anything depends on my mood...today I am feeling amazed.  The song going through my head is one that my mom considers one of her favorites and I have to agree.  Sometimes with a song you should just read the words.  It gives a deeper meaning to the words and you'll begin to see that song in a new light.

I Stand Amazed

I stand amazed in the presence
of Jesus the Nazarene,
and wonder how he could love me,
a sinner, condemned, unclean.

For me it was in the garden
he prayed: "Not my will, but thine."
He had no tears for his own griefs,
but sweat-drops of blood for mine.

In pity angels beheld him,
and came from the world of light
to comfort him in the sorrows
he bore for my soul that night.

He took my sins and my sorrows,
he made them his very own;
he bore the burden to Calvary,
and suffered and died alone.

When with the ransomed in glory
his face I at last shall see,
'twill be my joy through the ages
to sing of his love for me.

Chorus:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful
is my Savior's love for me!

This song just puts it so wonderfully and I am so overwhelmed by the Lord's love and care for someone like me.
